Pillowcases
Sheets and Pillowcases come in various thread counts, sizes and fabrics. Some things to note when making your selection:
Thread Count:
Thread count refers to the number of threads woven into 10 square centimetres of fabric. You should not base your purchase solely on thread count as many different fabrics have many different finishes, the higher the thread count, the better quality the fabric is.
Poly/Cotton Or 100% Cotton;
Poly/Cotton is a blend of cotton and polyester fibres. The Polyester is a synthetic or manmade fibre which helps increase durability of the cotton and life span of the product. Cotton keeps the product soft and comfortable to sleep on. 100% Cotton is generally cooler to sleep on or under as the fabric is natural and “breathes”. 100% Cotton products will crease more than a product made form a cotton/polyester blend.
Combed Cotton:
Combing separates the long desirable fibres from the shorter fibres and other impurities in the cotton. This creates a stronger, smoother yarn.
