Meet the Artist
Domica Hill is a proud Palawa/Pakana woman from the Northwest Coast of Tasmania, now living and creating on Gubbi Gubbi Country in the Sunshine Coast. As a contemporary Indigenous artist, Domica’s work is deeply rooted in culture, storytelling and her own personal journey of healing and connection.
Her practice began as a way of processing grief and has since evolved into a powerful expression of resilience, identity and creativity. Through a unique blend of traditional Aboriginal symbolism and modern design, her artworks weave stories that honour Country, family, and the enduring strength of her people.
Balancing cultural tradition with contemporary expression, her art invites reflection and connection, encouraging viewers to pause and consider their own relationship with land, community and self. For Domica, painting is not only an act of creation but also one of healing, storytelling and celebrating the unbreakable bond between people and Country.
“At Pillow Talk, we’re passionate about supporting Australian creatives and celebrating the stories that shape our communities. Collaborating with Domica Hill allows us to bring her unique artistic voice into our customers’ homes, and we’re proud to champion local talent through this exclusive collection.”
